Why Cairns is different

The workshop is on Toohey Street in Portsmith, a couple of minutes from the city, so we are easy to get to whether you are coming down from the northern beaches or up from the southern suburbs.
Straight answers
Ceramic tint uses non-metallic ceramic particles to block heat, UV and glare, rather than just darkening the glass. Cheaper carbon and dyed films make a car look darker but let a lot of the heat straight through. No. Our ceramic film is non-metallic, so it does not interfere with mobile reception, GPS, toll tags or keyless entry. That is one of the main reasons we use ceramic instead of older metallic films, which can cause exactly that problem.
Queensland has legal limits on how dark your tint can be, and they are different for the front side windows compared to the rear. We only fit tint that keeps your car legal and roadworthy. Come and see us and we will walk you through what you are allowed and what it will actually look like on your car.
It helps a lot. Most interior fading, cracking and that sun-baked dashboard look comes from ultraviolet light and heat. Ceramic tint blocks a large share of both, so your seats, dash and trim hold up far better over the years you own the car.
It is a clear film applied to the outside of your windscreen. It takes the impact from stones and road debris so your glass does not, which helps stop a small chip turning into a crack that needs a full windscreen replacement. You cannot see it once it is on.
